Whether you want to start making running a part of your day to improve your fitness and well-being or you need a plan of attack to qualify for the Boston Marathon, your first and most important step should be the same: Getting a focused and individualized plan built just for you.
Running magazine plans are fine for the general, faceless masses but, those sheets of paper don’t know a single thing about you. Nothing about what will help YOU improve and gain confidence. Do they take your varying levels of experience and your current fitness into account? No. How are YOUR needs met? Simple answer: They’re not.
My name is Rich Skorczewski and my 19 years of training and running, my experience coaching at the youth, high school and college levels and my degree in Health Promotion has given me a background that few have in my sport. I have run 2:23 for the marathon and aim to go faster still (Project 2:20) so rest assured, YOUR plan will come directly from the mind of someone who has a great passion for what he does and from someone who has the knowledge to make it work. Few things get me more excited than watching someone accomplish a goal they set and then worked so hard to get to. Nothing fires me up like seeing a runner gain strength, durability, and confidence.
My theories and methods are grounded in solid physiology / kinesiology / bio-mechanics but, what you’ll find is the greatest benefit of my program is the accountability and motivation that you’ll receive. I have an innate ability to communicate with people and get them excited to take on difficult tasks. It’s why I have gravitated to this profession and it’s why I’m so good at it.
My systems and plans get results. For all these reasons and many more, I invite you to join Team Skorch.
